In fact, there are not many of us in the project, or rather, two. The first is a Russian geophysicist who came to Chile many years ago to test his patented radar exploration method. The result of this visit was that the man stayed in Chile, learned Spanish and demonstrated his professionalism to such mining giants as Anglo-American, Glencore, Codelco and many others. But you know geologists - you have to offer them something interesting and unusual! So fate brought him to the south of Chile, where with an experienced look at one of the territories he saw that "there is something there." And he found it. And then he bought this plot from the state.
Then an in-depth study of the deposit began. The specialist was finally convinced of the suitability of the place for work. And then there was a global lockdown due to Covid-19. There was a threat of losing an investor, by the way, this is what happened. Travel between countries, equipment supplies were frozen for an indefinite period. But there is a way out of any situation, and this time was spent on studying new technologies, analyzing and building new connections.
The second person is me. I also joined the project shortly before the pandemic. But then it became even more difficult because I live in China, and you all know what started here. Even my global investor returned to China only after 2 years, being Chinese himself, what kind of work could we talk about? But here, too, the activity did not stop for a day. We showed ourselves to the world, registered on many sites, the project is known on LinkedIn and Crunchbase, a project website, presentation and "promotion" appeared. And only the experience of interacting with colleagues in the industry and studying other people's experiences led us over time to the final plan of action at this stage.
We are not children anymore and from the very beginning we understood perfectly well that regardless of the indicators of geological exploration and volumes, investors will not run to us in a race, trying to get in line. But we are sure that when we complete the first stage at our own expense, they will come by themselves. Oh, these are whole stories about relationships with investment agents, often from a mental hospital to crime is a very short way. That is why we also refused intermediaries. We simply know what to do when we have a satisfactory starting amount.
This will be a modern site, with the most modern equipment, we will not cripple nature, so we have specially limited the volume of production. We will not have dormitories - a separate house with a shower and a bio-toilet is planned for each worker, there will be a medical center and a recreation room with a cinema, security and a laboratory for scientists. We need physicists, geologists, hydraulic engineers, IT specialists and a qualified security service.
And finally - we do not skimp on public work - there are remote Chilean towns and villages nearby, and there is something for a team of educated people to do. From education to ordinary assistance.
I really want people to come to us in a year for excursions on the topic of “How to organize a modern environmentally friendly enterprise.”
